KPMG: WE Day
2018 WE Day
OBJECTIVE
Draw attention to KPMG’s efforts toward literacy and education at WE Day using KPMG Literacy Champion, Olympic Gold Medalist, Laurie Hernandez.
ELEMENTS
ideation/brainstorming, digital mockups, UX, patch and jacket design, patch production and application, print, video
PRODUCT
I designed and laid out the patches applied to a denim jacket Laurie Hernandez, wore while walking the blue carpet and guest speaking at WE Day, a celebration of young leaders making a difference. In addition to the jacket, I created a video to introduce Laurie and the issue area of literacy before Laurie walked on stage, a pin and a bookmark that were distributed during the event at KPMG’s activation where students spun a wheel and received a book, pin, and bookmark.
2019 WE Day
OBJECTIVE
Create and execute an activation for KPMG to promote literacy and engage WE Day participants.
ELEMENTS
ideation/brainstorming, digital mockups, fabrication, print, animation
PRODUCT
I designed an activation where participants added a line to a story via an iPad and bluetooth typewriter keyboard. With each addition the story, the participant received a mystery book that touched on various subject matters and a bookmark with recommendations on further reading. Within the activation there were functioning typewriters on the shelves participants interacted with and a decorated book cart that traveled around the venue distributing books to the attendees.
After the event concluded, I animated the completed story narrated by Laurie Hernandez and it was posted on the KPMG Family For Literacy Instagram page.
